Message from Azelle, Owner of The Maya Salon

There’s a time in your life where you’re trying to find your purpose, and your meaning, and I knew I wanted to start my own business. I grew up with my family volunteering — serving in an orphanage in Mexico; donating yearly shoeboxes of gifts for kids; teaching trade skills to women who survived sex trafficking in Cambodia — and these experiences made me realize that there are so many people who need love in this world. Motivated to continue spreading love, I asked myself, “what can I do here, to help people in my own community?” I realized that if I can help people feel their best, they can live their best life and treat others better. 

At The Maya Salon, I believe that when you feel your best, you bring out the best in life, and in others.
